Duties & Responsibilities
• Developing plans for exploration activities as well as monitoring them onsite
• Analyzing geological data to identify areas with potential resources
• Designing extraction systems and other related processes
• Supervising operations related to drilling activities
• Creating cost estimates based on available resources
• Ensuring that all operations remain compliant with industry standards
• Optimizing production processes in order to maximize efficiency
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or related field
• At least 3 years of experience as a petroleum engineer or related position
• Knowledge of different drilling techniques such as rotary drilling and directional drilling
• Familiarity with relevant software programs such as Petrel or PVTsim • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
