We are looking for a Librarian to join our Musaffah branch. We offer a competitive salary of 1000 AED/month along with other benefits such as health insurance and paid leave.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for books and knowledge, combined with excellent organizational skills. They should also possess great communication skills and be able to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
The main responsibility of the Librarian is to maintain and organize our library collection so that customers can easily find the books they need. This includes cataloging new acquisitions, stocking shelves, gathering feedback from customers, and helping them locate relevant titles. Other duties include helping customers check out books using various software programs and maintaining accurate records of all library transactions. The Librarian will also be responsible for conducting research activities related to the library materials.
To qualify for this role, applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or another related field. Additionally, they must possess strong computer skills as well as experience using digital cataloging systems such as Koha or Evergreen. Previous experience working in a library environment would be beneficial but not required. Fluency in English is essential for this role as it is the primary language of communication used by our staff and customers alike.
