Librarian vacancy in Dubai UAE for foreigners


We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of the library, including cataloguing, circulation and shelving. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent customer service skills.

The primary responsibilities of a Librarian include organizing and managing library materials, such as books, periodicals, newspapers, magazines, audio-visual materials, digital media, and other resources; providing reference services; maintaining the library collection; providing technical assistance to patrons; developing and implementing library policies and procedures; overseeing staff; and preparing reports on library activities.

In order to be considered for this role you must have excellent knowledge of library procedures and standards, great communication skills, attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience working with computers is also required. We are also willing to consider a foreign national who has no prior experience as a librarian.
