Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating accounting activities such as ledgers, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical ability and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. We offer a competitive salary of 1600 AED per month (negotiable) and are open to considering an immigrant for this position.

Job Responsibilities
• Prepare financial statements by gathering information from accounting systems.
• Develop and maintain accounting processes to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Analyze financial accounts to identify discrepancies and errors in calculations or postings.
• Ensure accuracy of invoices and payments processed by the finance department.
• Prepare journal entries as per the company’s policies and procedures.
• Reconcile bank statements to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the system.
• Participate in the development of budgets for projects and departments within the organization.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, or yearly closeouts as needed by management team members.
• Assist with external auditor inquiries during annual audits.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with financial data is preferred but not required (we are open to considering an immigrant).
• Proficient understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards.
• Knowledge of accounting software programs such as QuickBooks or Sage is preferred but not required (training will be provided).
