Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in Jeddah. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot any problems that may arise. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and inspecting electrical systems on both residential and commercial properties.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, repair and inspect wiring, fixtures, control devices, motors and other electrical equipment.
• Install conduit systems and cables for power distribution in buildings.
• Connect electrical systems to power sources such as transformers or generators.
• Test electrical systems for continuity using test lamps or other testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical problems by using a variety of testing methods such as voltage drop tests or insulation resistance tests.
• Read blueprints or schematic diagrams to determine work procedures.
• Inspect completed installations for conformance to specifications and codes.
• Prepare written reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Maintain records on all inspections performed or repairs made on customer premises or jobsites.

Qualifications & Experience:

• High School diploma/GED required; Vocational/technical training in electronics or related field preferred; Journeyman Electrician certification desirable; must meet local licensing requirements as applicable; must be able to pass a background check; valid driver’s license may be required in some locations; ability to work at heights up to 50 feet with appropriate safety equipment; must be willing to travel when necessary; must have a minimum of two years’ experience working in residential or commercial settings as an electrician; proficient with hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, pliers etc.; knowledge of various safety standards applicable in the industry (NEC); strong problem-solving skills; excellent communication skills both verbal and written with customers/employees etc.; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; proven ability to work independently without supervision for extended periods of time when necessary
