Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a clinical setting to aid in diagnosis and treatment of patients’ conditions. They must maintain patient records and ensure that specimens are properly labeled and stored. The Phlebotomist must also be able to handle any inquiries or concerns from patients in a professional manner.

Job Responsibilities:
• Follow established procedures when collecting blood samples from patients
• Prepare specimens for testing by labeling them accurately
• Maintain patient records and ensure that all information is up-to-date
• Assist physicians in performing tests as needed by retrieving specimens from storage or taking new samples
• Ensure that all equipment is properly sterilized before use
• Answer questions or concerns from patients regarding their blood tests or diagnoses
• Comply with safety regulations and quality assurance standards

Qualifications:

• At least one year experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical setting

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Excellent customer service skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality assurance standards
