Librarian Vacancy – Abu Dhabi

Job Description:
We are looking for a Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing library services including, collection development, cataloging, reference services, and preservation of library materials. You will also be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date library inventory, ensuring the availability of materials for patrons.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Knowledge of cataloging systems and procedures
• Excellent organizational and research skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patrons from diverse backgrounds
• Good knowledge of computer systems and software applications such as Microsoft Office
• Ability to lift and move heavy books, boxes and other library materials
• Fluency in English is required; fluency in Arabic is preferred but not necessary
• Non-residents must have valid work authorization documents that allow them to work in the UAE.

Salary: 1500 AED (negotiable).
