Description of Role: The Surveyor will work with a team of survey professionals to collect and analyze data related to land surveys. This includes measuring distances, angles and elevations, as well as taking photographs and making sketches. An understanding of the principles of surveying is essential for this role. The Surveyor will also be responsible for preparing reports and maps based on their findings. Additionally, the Surveyor may be called upon to assist in projects such as setting out and marking boundaries, and maintaining accurate records of surveys.
Qualifications/Skills:
• Excellent understanding of surveying principles and techniques
• Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS systems, theodolites, levelers etc.
• Good knowledge of mathematics (geometry & trigonometry)
• Ability to work accurately with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other surveyors in a team environment
• Proficiency in using computer programs for data processing (e.g., GIS software)
