Job Description:
Musaffah is looking for an experienced Optometrist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive and quality care to patients of the practice. This includes conducting eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems, prescribing lenses and treatments, and providing advice on vision care. The Optometrist should be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Optometrist will be responsible for performing comprehensive eye exams including refractions, retinoscopy, computerized automated perimetry, color vision testing and glaucoma evaluations. He/she should also have the ability to evaluate ocular diseases and make appropriate referrals to other healthcare professionals when necessary. Additionally, the Optometrist should be able to provide patient instruction on corrective techniques as well as counsel patients on healthy vision habits.

Qualifications:
A successful candidate should possess a Doctorate degree in Optometry from an accredited college or university. He/she must also be licensed by the local/state optometric board and have at least 2 years of experience in a private practice setting or equivalent setting. In addition, the candidate should have excellent communication skills with both patients and staff members, strong interpersonal skills as well as knowledge of current optometric practices and technologies.

The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely manner; strong problem-solving abilities; excellent patient care skills; proficiency in relevant computer programs; ability to pay attention to detail; good manual dexterity; excellent understanding of medical terminology; knowledge of contact lens fitting techniques; familiarity with prescription medications used in optometry; strong customer service skills; ability to work independently without direct supervision; knowledge of applicable safety regulations.
