We are looking for a Librarian to join our team in Abu-Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and organizing the library and its resources, providing advice on the use of resources, and ensuring the library is a safe and pleasant environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Overseeing the collection, organization, maintenance, and security of library materials
• Providing reference services such as finding materials or helping patrons with research
• Developing library collections by researching new materials and reviewing existing ones
• Assisting patrons in using computers, printers, photocopiers, audiovisual equipment etc.
• Ensuring all library facilities are kept clean and tidy at all times
• Assisting with cataloguing books and other material into the computer system
• Training new staff in the use of library systems and procedures
• Developing educational programs for patrons such as book clubs or reading groups.

The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills, strong organizational skills, proficient computer skills (MS Office), excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written). Experience in a library setting is highly preferred but not required. We welcome applications from immigrants who have relevant qualifications.
