Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems. This includes wiring and rewiring in both residential and commercial buildings; inspecting electrical components; testing systems for safety; installing outlets, switches, circuit breakers, transformers, meters and other components; ensuring compliance with codes; performing preventive maintenance; creating reports on inspections; providing advice on energy conservation efforts; providing technical support when needed; working with other tradespeople such as plumbers or heating technicians when necessary. In addition, the individual must also follow safety protocols strictly while working with electricity.
