Librarian – Abu-Dhabi

We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. The successful candidate will have a passion for books, knowledge of library systems, and the ability to help users find the information they need. The position offers a salary of 1300 AED per month. We are open to considering foreign applicants.

Job Description:
Organize and manage books in the library;
Provide information about library services and available resources;
Assist users in finding materials and resources;
Answer questions related to library collections, services, and policies;
Perform cataloguing tasks;
Ensure that the library is kept safe and secure;
Help maintain the online presence of the library with updates on new resources, events, etc.;
Ensure that the library is kept clean and tidy;
Maintain records of user activities.

Requirements for Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field;
• Proven experience as a librarian or similar role;
• Solid knowledge of cataloguing techniques (e.g. Dewey Decimal System);
• Basic understanding of digital libraries and search techniques;
• Excellent communication skills with both users and colleagues;
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
