The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. This includes wiring, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers and other related appliances. The Electrician will also troubleshoot and repair any defective equipment as well as provide advice and guidance on the best use of electrical appliances. In addition to this the Electrician will be expected to read technical diagrams and blueprints in order to ensure efficient installation of systems.

The ideal candidate must have a good eye for detail as well as strong problem solving skills in order to identify defects and diagnose issues quickly. A good knowledge of electrical safety standards is essential as is the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. The successful candidate should also have excellent verbal communication skills in order to ensure that all instructions are understood clearly by colleagues.
