Job Description:
As a Welder, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Operate welding equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, or similar tools in order to join metal components or fill holes, indentations or seams of metal objects
- Read blueprints or drawings in order to determine the specific welding requirements
- Follow safety protocols when working with tools and equipment
- Prepare materials for welding by grinding or cleaning surfaces
- Use appropriate tools and techniques such as tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding, metal inert gas (MIG) welding, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxyacetylene cutting or plasma arc cutting (PAC) in order to complete projects according to specifications
