Job Duties:
As a Welder, your primary responsibility will be welding steel parts and components according to provided plans or blueprints. You will also be responsible for setting up welding machines, selecting appropriate welding processes and materials, selecting the correct tungsten electrodes, and inspecting completed welds. Additionally, you may be asked to assist other welders in their tasks or provide training on proper welding techniques as needed.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in welding or working with metals. You should be knowledgeable in various welding processes such as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW). You should also be able to interpret blueprints correctly. Additionally, you must be physically fit due to the nature of the job.
