Position: Sommelier

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Salary: 1100 AED/month

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing wine expertise to our guests, as well as managing the wine list and recommending wine pairings for our menu items.

The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of different types of wines from all over the world. They should also have a strong understanding of food and beverage service standards, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Advise guests on wines that match their food choices

- Manage and maintain an extensive wine list

- Restock wine shelves with new bottles

- Prepare weekly wine reports including sales information and inventory levels

- Train staff on proper service methods for different types of wines

- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements concerning liquor regulations

- Respond to customer inquiries about wines and make appropriate recommendations

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a sommelier or similar role in a restaurant or hotel setting

- Extensive knowledge of different types of wines from around the world

- Excellent customer service skills

- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision

- Attention to detail when selecting wines or stocking shelves

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
