Optometrist Job Opening - Abu Dhabi

We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including diagnosing and managing conditions of the eye and vision. The Optometrist will also be responsible for assisting with the ordering of medical supplies and equipment and educating patients on their eye health.

Job Description:
• Performing vision tests, eye exams, and other diagnostic procedures to determine patients' visual acuity and to detect signs of disease or abnormality
• Diagnosing ocular abnormalities, such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other vision problems
• Analyzing test results and developing treatment plans for ocular diseases
• Prescribing eyeglasses or contact lenses as needed
• Educating patients about their vision needs
• Referring patients to other healthcare professionals such as ophthalmologists when needed
• Maintaining records of examinations and patient treatments


Demands for the Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in optometry or related field
• Licensed optometrist in good standing with local licensing board
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English is a must • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
