Librarian – Sharjah

We are looking for a highly organized Librarian to join our team at Sharjah. The successful candidate should be a team player and possess excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to work independently. This position offers a competitive salary of 1200/month. We are open to considering an immigrant for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Cataloging library materials (books, magazines, audio visual, etc.)
- Ensuring library materials are properly shelved and maintained
- Maintaining accurate records of library materials
- Assisting patrons in locating material in the library
- Recommending books and other materials for library patrons
- Providing reference services
- Developing and conducting library programs such as storytime sessions or book clubs
- Preparing catalogs, indexes, and other finding aids to library materials
- Developing and maintaining the library’s website and social media presence

Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Library Science or related field is preferred
- Experience in working with computers, database software, email systems & internet search engines is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to be patient at all times when dealing with patrons
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
