Job Title: Land Surveyor

Salary: 1300 USD/Month

Job Responsibilities:
• Utilize surveying instruments such as total stations to accurately measure distances and angles of land areas for mapping and engineering purposes
• Gather data from field observations and measurements as well as from aerial photographs, satellite images, maps and other sources
• Analyze topographical data to identify land features such as contour lines, elevations and other details
• Create maps using geographic information systems (GIS) software in order to accurately convey the shape, elevation or location of features on the land surface
• Prepare reports summarizing survey results for clients
• Participate in legal description writing activities for boundary surveys used in real estate transactions or construction projects
• Operate GPS receivers to measure distances between points on the earth's surface

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field from an accredited institution
• Previous experience in land surveying preferred but not required
• Proficient with the use of total stations, GPS receivers, GIS software, spreadsheets/Word processing programs and other surveying tools
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
