We are looking for a Librarian to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and highly motivated team.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for maintaining the library’s collection of books, periodicals and other media, as well as providing research assistance to patrons. Duties will include cataloguing and classifying library materials, issuing library cards, shelving returned materials, helping patrons locate information sources, teaching computer and online search skills, responding to reference queries, monitoring library attendance and usage statistics, preparing reports on library activities and suggesting new acquisitions.

This role requires excellent organizational skills as well as strong interpersonal communication abilities. The successful candidate should be well-versed in both traditional print resources and digital media and be comfortable with technology including computers and databases. An understanding of copyright laws is also desirable.

We offer a competitive salary of 1100 per month for this position and are open to consider an immigrant. Minimal work experience is expected though relevant qualifications would be beneficial.
