Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join our team in Al-Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating vision problems and diseases, providing patient counseling, recommending corrective lenses and advising patients on how to properly care for their eyes. This position includes a competitive salary of 1500.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
The Optometrist will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye examinations, including assessing the vision of patients and determining any abnormalities that may be present. They will be expected to accurately diagnose vision problems and diseases, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts or diabetic retinopathy. Additionally, the Optometrist should be able to provide patient counseling on the effects of various lenses or other corrective measures that may be necessary. They should also be able to recommend contact lenses or eyeglasses that suit a patient’s lifestyle needs. Lastly, they should provide instruction on proper eye care techniques such as removing contact lenses correctly or using appropriate eye drops.

Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience working as an Optometrist in a clinical setting. A Bachelor’s degree in Optometry is preferred but not required; however, they must possess a valid license from the State Board of Optometry to practice in Al-Kuwait. Excellent communication skills are essential as they will need to explain complex procedures or diagnoses to their patients in clear terms. They must also have excellent organizational skills in order to maintain accurate records of their patients’ visits and treatments.

Salary & Benefits
We are offering a competitive salary package of 1500 for this position along with other benefits such as health insurance and paid leave days. We are also open to considering foreign applicants for this role if they are able to provide valid proof of work authorization in Al-Kuwait.
