You must have strong problem-solving skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should also be comfortable working with large amounts of data from multiple sources. A degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field is preferred but not required if you have sufficient work experience in the field. Experience working with databases such as SQL and Excel is also highly desired.
