Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Librarian to join our team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library, organizing books, materials and other resources, as well as providing education and reference services to the public. The position offers a salary of 1600 AED per month and is open to immigrants.

Responsibilities
-Organize and catalogue books, magazines, periodicals, audio-visual materials, electronic media, and other resources
-Provide reference services and assist patrons in locating information
-Teach patrons how to use library systems and equipment
-Ensure the library is kept clean and organized
-Develop new programs such as story times for children
-Participate in community outreach programs
-Develop innovative ways to promote the library

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field
-2+ years’ experience working in a library setting
-Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
-Strong communication skills both verbal and written
-Proficiency using computers and digital technology
