Librarian job in Dubai UAE for unskilled workers


Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and managing the library’s collections, providing information services to library patrons, and overseeing the operation of the library. This position will require a great deal of responsibility and excellent organizational skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of library tools and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Librarian include managing and cataloging the library's collections, ensuring that materials are properly stored and maintained. Additionally, they will be required to provide information services to patrons by assisting them with research, accessing materials they require, and providing reference assistance when needed. They will also provide guidance in utilizing library tools such as computers, printers, photocopiers, scanners, etc., as well as establish policies for borrowing books and other materials. Finally, they will be responsible for maintaining records of all activities related to the library’s operations.

Qualifications & Skills:
The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field. A minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in a similar role is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively; have excellent written and verbal communication skills; possess strong customer service skills; be able to work independently with minimal supervision; have strong attention to detail; possess basic computer skills; have an understanding of privacy laws related to libraries; have knowledge of copyright laws; possess problem-solving skills; be culturally aware; be willing to undertake further training if necessary; and possess a valid UAE work visa or be willing to apply for one if needed.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a starting salary of 1200 AED per month plus benefits including paid leave days for holidays/vacations, health insurance coverage for yourself and family members where applicable, competitive retirement benefits package including 401K matching contributions from employer up to 3% per year (based on employee contributions).
