Requirements:
• A high school certificate or equivalent.
• An understanding of dental procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology.
• Good manual dexterity and the ability to operate dental equipment effectively.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Fluency in English is preferred but not required.

Job Description:
The Dental Assistant's primary responsibility is to assist the dentist in providing patient care according to established standards of care, protocol and procedures in a safe manner that enhances patient comfort and satisfaction. Duties include but are not limited to: preparing treatment rooms for patient procedures; setting up instruments for each procedure; sterilizing instruments; taking impressions; taking x-rays; assisting with lab tasks such as pouring up models or fabricating custom trays; handling lab paperwork; educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques; charting existing conditions of decay or disease as diagnosed by the dentist; providing chairside assistance during dental treatments such as scaling or root planing; removing sutures after surgery when needed; keeping the operatories stocked with supplies necessary for treatments; keeping inventory of supplies & materials on hand in the clinic.
