Job Responsibilities
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating various pieces of heavy equipment on construction sites. You will need to read blueprints or other instructions in order to operate the machines correctly and efficiently complete assigned tasks. You must also be able to inspect the equipment before use, identify any problems or defects that could affect performance and make necessary repairs or adjustments as needed.
