Duties of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing library resources, including books, magazines, periodicals and audio-visual materials as well as providing research assistance to patrons when required. Duties also include cataloguing new items into the system using standard cataloguing software; developing collection plans; maintaining records; preparing reports; administering circulation of materials; ensuring accuracy in library content; training other staff members; helping create an engaging learning environment; promoting library services through various initiatives such as book clubs etc.; attending meetings with colleagues and representing the organization at conferences or other events as required.
