Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library’s resources, providing research assistance and instruction for library patrons, and ensuring the library is well maintained.

The Librarian’s key responsibilities include:
• Overseeing the daily operations of the library, including cataloguing, circulation and shelving of materials;
• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive collection of books, periodicals and other materials in various formats;
• Assisting patrons in locating information;
• Training volunteers and staff in the use of the library resources;
• Planning, organizing and leading programs such as storytime sessions;
• Providing reference services to patrons using online databases;
• Developing strategies to promote use of library resources;
• Maintaining knowledge of new technologies used in libraries.

Salary: The salary for this position is 1400 AED per month. We are also ready to consider a foreign candidate for this position.
Requirements:
• Degree in Library Science or related field;
• At least 5 years of experience working in a library;
• Ability to use various technologies associated with libraries;
• Knowledge of cataloguing systems (e.g., Dewey Decimal) and online databases (e.g., OCLC);
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively with staff members from other departments.
