Software Developer (Abu-Dhabi)

We are looking for a Software Developer to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in software development and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This position offers a competitive salary of 1400 per month and is open to both local and immigrant applicants with no experience.

Responsibilities:
• Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
• Design and develop user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
• Install software by following the established procedures/standards.
• Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.
• Upgrade systems by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
• Maintain user confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP), HTML/CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, PHP/MySQL or other web development languages as well as web application frameworks such as Zend or Symfony2 is required.
• Experience working with different version control systems such as git & svn is preferred but not required.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to production applications is highly desired.
• Effective communication skills are essential for success in this role
