Job Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive eye care services to patients including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, vision therapy, and treatment of ocular diseases.
• Establish a diagnosis based on patient history, clinical findings and laboratory results.
• Make appropriate referrals to other healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Measure patient's eyes for corrective lenses (eyeglasses or contacts) and accurately interpret the results.
• Educate patients on proper eye care techniques such as proper contact lens cleaning and handling.
• Keep accurate records of patient's visits and treatments.
• Educate patients on the importance of regular eye exams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or a related field from an accredited university/college
• Licensed by the Kuwaiti government as an optometrist or willing to obtain the necessary license (if applicable)
• At least one year of experience in optometry preferred but not required
