Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team at Al-Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial accounts of the company, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. The position offers a salary of 1300 and we are open to consider an immigrant for this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Monitor accounts receivable/payable activities to ensure payments are made on time.
• Prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner.
• Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Maintain accurate financial records including invoices, receipts, bills, purchase orders, etc.
• Analyze discrepancies between budgeted vs actual figures and generate reports accordingly.
• Assist in developing effective internal controls over financial processes and systems to ensure compliance with company policies as well as applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop strategies to improve the accuracy of financial records/reports while minimizing costs associated with such processes.
Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required; CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• 3+ years’ experience working in an accounting role in a professional setting is required; experience in international accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), QuickBooks or other relevant accounting software is required; knowledge of international accounting principles is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Must be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in record keeping and reporting processes; excellent time management skills are essential for this role.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong problem-solving skills are required for this position as well as outstanding interpersonal skills for interacting with other departments/teams when needed
