Job Description:
The Mason will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining walls, floors, roofs, and sidewalks using bricks, mortar, tiles, concrete blocks, asphalt mixers, and other materials. The Mason will inspect surfaces prior to starting construction or repairs and be able to read blueprints or drawings. They should be able to evaluate the condition of existing structures in order to determine necessary repairs. In addition they must be able to use a variety of hand tools as well as power tools such as saws and drills in order to complete their tasks. The Mason will also need to clean up work sites after completion and ensure that all safety protocols are followed at all times.
Job Requirements:
• Must demonstrate a high level of manual dexterity
• Able to read blueprints or drawings accurately
• Must have knowledge of construction materials such as brick, concrete blocks, asphalt mixers etc.
• Must be physically capable of lifting heavy objects
• Previous experience in masonry is preferred but not required
• Ability to follow instructions carefully
