Job Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood and other materials.
- Construct fixtures and furniture using detailed drawings and instructions.
- Inspect furniture for defects and ensure adhering to quality standards.
- Maintain tools in working order for optimal performance.
- Install cabinets, doors, windows and other fixtures by following instructions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable but not required. We are willing to consider an immigrant for this position. Experience is not required as long as the candidate has the necessary skillset for the job. Must have strong manual dexterity and good understanding of carpentry tools. Ability to read plans, diagrams and blueprints is essential. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are needed for this role. Good problem solving skills are essential to perform carpentry work in a timely manner with accuracy.
