The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, maintaining and managing our collection of books and other documents. Job Description:
The Librarian is responsible for providing efficient customer service to library patrons while organizing, managing and maintaining our library collection. This includes cataloging new materials into the library system, shelving returned materials in the correct locations, providing general information on library resources, assisting patrons in locating materials or using computerized systems; and ensuring that library materials are available for use by patrons. The Librarian also prepares periodic reports on library activities such as circulation statistics.

Duties:
• Cataloging new materials into the library system

• Assisting patrons in locating materials or using computerized systems
• Maintaining cleanliness of the library environment
• Answering patron inquiries about services or resources
• Preparing periodic reports on circulation statistics

Requirements:
• Bachelor degree preferably in Library Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Knowledge of current trends in librarianship
• Proficiency with computers and standard office software applications (e.g., MS Word)
• Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• Organizational skills in managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines

Salary: 900 per month
