Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Head Chef, your primary role as a Pastry Chef will be to prepare all types of desserts and pastries for the restaurant's menu as well as special orders from guests. You will be expected to follow all recipes accurately while ensuring food safety guidelines are met at all times. You should also keep up-to-date with current trends in pastry making so that you can create new dishes that reflect seasonal changes or customer requests. Additionally, you will need to ensure that all stock is managed effectively and rotated regularly so that it is fresh when served to our guests.

Qualifications:
At minimum, we expect applicants for this position to hold a culinary degree or diploma from an accredited institution along with any relevant qualifications related pastry-making or baking techniques. We are also open to considering candidates who may not have formal qualifications but demonstrate an ability and passion for making desserts through other previous roles or experiences such as home baking or restaurant work. Applicants should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously and possess excellent communication skills in order to work well within our team setting.
