Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects. This includes preparing reports, blueprints, drawings, and plans for construction projects; managing project budgets; monitoring progress; ensuring adherence to safety regulations; and liaising with project stakeholders such as clients, contractors and suppliers. Additionally, the Civil Engineer will be expected to stay up-to-date on new building materials and methods.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 5+ years' experience working in design or construction engineering
• Excellent knowledge of design software packages including AutoCAD
• Proficiency with various types of analysis techniques (structural/hydraulic/environmental)
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to think quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team of engineers
• Excellent communication skills (both oral & written)
