Job Title: Sommelier
Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: 1600 per month

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of the wine and spirits industry, a passionate approach to customer service, and an appreciation of the finer details that make each product unique.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide professional advice and recommendations on food and beverage pairings for guests.
• Monitor guests’ preferences to ensure satisfaction with their dining experience.
• Create wine menus that feature the best selection of wines according to regional preferences.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of wines in accordance with industry standards.
• Conduct staff trainings on wine tasting, serving techniques, and pairing suggestions.
• Design informative wine-tasting classes or workshops for guests.
• Participate in regular tastings to keep up with market trends and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of wine regions, grape varieties, winemakers, vintages, etc.
• Maintain records of inventory management system for wines and liquors.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding new arrivals or special orders as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Previous experience as a Sommelier/wine steward in a fine dining restaurant or hotel setting is required with at least two years’ experience in a similar role preferred.
• Knowledgeable of various grapes varieties from different regions around the world is highly desirable.
• Certified in Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 or higher is preferred but not required. • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with ability to interact effectively with guests from all backgrounds; fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are beneficial but not required.
