Job Duties:
This position involves designing components and systems utilizing 3D CAD software; creating prototypes from both existing designs as well as from scratch; conducting research on new materials or technologies that can improve existing designs; ensuring compliance with industry standards as well as company policies; providing technical support on projects; maintaining accurate records of all job related activities; interacting with other departments when needed; performing tests on prototypes to ensure quality standards are met; troubleshooting any issues that may arise during testing phases.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field along with 5+ years experience in mechanical engineering design. Knowledge of 3D CAD software is essential, as is familiarity with industry standards such as ASME/ISO/ASTM/etc. Excellent communication skills are essential, as this role involves interacting with multiple departments within the company. A strong attention to detail is also necessary in order to ensure accuracy when creating designs or conducting tests. The ability to work independently or within a team environment is also desired.
