Job Title: Librarian
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Salary: 1700 AED

We are looking for a qualified Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the public, including library patrons and visitors. The successful applicant must be passionate about providing high quality customer service and knowledgeable about library resources.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain library services, including circulation and reference services.
• Provide information to library patrons on the use of library resources such as books, periodicals, audio-visual materials and electronic resources.
• Catalog and classify library materials using established systems.
• Develop and maintain collections of materials in specific subject areas.
• Assist in developing programs to promote the use of library resources.
• Process new acquisitions and update existing collections with new material as needed.
• Prepare reports on the use of library resources for management review.
• Participate in professional organizations to stay informed of current trends in librarianship.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field from an accredited college/university is required.
• Previous experience working in a library is preferred but not required.
• Experience dealing with the public is desirable.
• Working knowledge of computers and related software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite is preferred but not required.
