Job Description:
ABC Company is looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out land surveys and providing accurate measurements of land and related features to determine boundaries, elevations, distances, and other characteristics. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the principles of surveying, including trigonometry, geodesy, cartography, property law, and related topics.

The Land Surveyor’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Preparing survey plans by collecting data from field surveys using instruments such as total stations and GPS receivers.
-Analyzing survey data to determine positions and elevations of points, lines and contours; calculating areas and lengths; estimating volumes; locating points in relation to each other; plotting maps; computing elevation differences; and setting out grade stakes.
-Performing calculations by hand or using computers for data processing.
-Gathering pertinent information from public records concerning property boundaries, legal descriptions of lands, deeds, aerial photographs etc.
-Assisting in setting up test wells for obtaining soil samples.
-Organizing survey notes into detailed reports with recommendations that can be used by clients for decision making purposes.
-Ensuring all work is carried out according to safety regulations and codes of practice.

Qualifications/Requirements:
-A degree in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying Science from an accredited university with at least 5 years’ experience in the field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Proficiency with surveying equipment including total station, GPS receivers & lasers levels etc.
-Knowledge of applicable laws governing surveying procedures.
-Excellent communication skills both verbal & written including report writing capabilities.
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team & produce accurate results within tight deadlines while paying attention to detail & quality control standards.
