Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Optometrist is to conduct eye exams to diagnose and treat various vision problems. This includes determining the need for prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses; performing tests to detect glaucoma; recommending eye exercises; providing guidance on how to properly select frames; and advising on proper contact lens care and hygiene practices. Additionally, the Optometrist will recommend lifestyle changes (e.g., diet or exercise) that can help improve patients’ vision health.

Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in optometry; Expertise in using automated refractors/ophthalmic instruments; Knowledgeable about ophthalmic drugs/therapies; Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships with patients; Ability to remain focused under pressure; Current license/registration from an accredited college/university or equivalent qualification from an approved authority; Fluency in English (Arabic preferred).
