Job Description:
The Mason is responsible for laying and setting bricks, block, stone and other masonry materials according to specifications. The Mason will measure, cut and shape materials as needed and use tools such as trowels, levels and mortar mixers. You will also be expected to clean job sites before and after each project. Other duties may include mixing mortar or grout, removing defective material or equipment, repairing existing structures or building new ones from scratch. The position also requires the Mason to be able to follow directions carefully while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Mason (preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints accurately
- Knowledge of mortar mixes and grouting techniques
- Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
