Job Description:
We are looking for a Welder with experience in welding steel, aluminum and other metals. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding components together with metal parts in order to assemble structures or machines. You will read blueprints or work orders to determine the specific welding requirements and use hand tools or other specialty equipment to prepare metal pieces before they are welded together. You must also inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
Requirements:
-High school diploma/GED or equivalent required, trade school certification or apprenticeship preferred
-Minimum 2 years of experience as a welder is required; additional experience is preferred
-Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately and interpret specifications -Ability to operate hand tools, power tools or other specialty equipment related to welding processes -Knowledge of safety procedures when working with hazardous chemicals or heavy metals -Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
