Job Summary

We are looking for an Optometrist to join our team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing eye examinations and prescribing corrective lenses. The Optometrist will also help with the diagnosis of eye diseases and the fitting of contact lenses. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of 1700 QAR per month. We are open to considering foreign applicants for this role.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye examinations including visual acuity test, refraction test, slit lamp examination and fundus examination
• Prescribe corrective lenses such as eyeglasses or contact lenses based on individual patient needs
• Diagnose eye diseases such as glaucoma or cataracts and refer patients for appropriate treatment
• Fit contact lenses on patients according to their prescription
• Educate patients about their vision conditions and provide advice about how to protect their vision
• Maintain patient records using computerized systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in optometry/ophthalmology or related field from an accredited institution
• Licensed optometrist in Doha or eligibility to obtain license
• At least two years' experience working as an optometrist preferred but not required
• Proficiency in English both verbal and written is essential
