Job Title: Librarian

Location: Dubai

Salary: 1400 AED/monthly

We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library's collection of books, periodicals and other materials, as well as providing reference services.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for reading and researching, and possess excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. They should also be a self-motivated individual with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

- Organize library resources including books, periodicals, audio-visual materials, and other media

- Maintain records of library users and their borrowing activities

- Create a cataloging system for library resources according to recognized standards

- Assist patrons with research requests or inquiries about library materials or services

- Provide reference services by responding to questions or directing users to sources of information

- Develop new programs and activities aimed at promoting the use of the library

- Assist in planning special events such as book fairs or author visits

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field

- Proficiency in the use of computers & technology

- Knowledge of cataloging systems and best practices for storing & retrieving information

- Ability to work independently & stay organized in a fast-paced environment
