Job Description:
• Fabricate and assemble metal components by welding them, using electric, gas or other welding equipment
• Read blueprints or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
• Select materials needed for the job, including rods, fluxes, wires or other welding consumables
• Place components of the structure in position ready for welding according to blueprints or drawings provided
• Use manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fill joints with weld material in flat, vertical or overhead positions as required by the job specifications
• Monitor the quality of welds and make corrections as necessary
Requirements:
• High school diploma/degree in Welding technology or equivalent experience is required
• At least 3 years of experience as a Welder is required
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is required
