Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a related field and have a good attention to detail. We are offering a salary of 1600 QAR and are willing to consider an immigrant for this position.

Requirements for the Candidate

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in carpentry/woodworking.
• Ability to read technical plans and drawings.
• Working knowledge of carpentry tools, materials and methods.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel when needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.


Responsibilities
• Construct, install, repair, maintain, finish and assemble woodworks like doors, window frames, stairs, partitions etc., using hand tools and power tools such as saws or planers.
• Measure and mark surfaces for installation or repair according to specifications using straightedges or rulers.
• Fill cracks with putty or other fillers; sand surfaces as necessary for finishing requirements.
• Install trim items such as mouldings or picture rails; paint surfaces with coatings such as varnish; glue materials together when required by the job specifications; assemble wooden parts with nails and screws; install hardware like hinges or locks on doors/windows/cupboards etc.; cut material with handsaws or power saws as needed; determine necessary materials from job specifications; mark cutting lines on material using pencils or chalk lines; operate manual woodworking machines such as lathes/routers/biscuit joiners etc., when necessary; follow safety guidelines at all times while working with tools/materials etc.; maintain clean work area by cleaning up debris and disposing off waste properly etc.
