Al-Kuwait is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the accounting operations of the company. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, bookkeeping, and problem solving skills. The Accountant will be expected to provide accurate financial information and reports in a timely manner.

Main Responsibilities:
• Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable/payable, cash receipts and general ledger
• Prepare monthly financial statements including profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and budget analysis
• Prepare accurate tax returns in compliance with applicable laws
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Analyze financial information and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance
• Assist in the preparation of audit reports when necessary
• Ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations as well as generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Participate in special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred
• At least 5 years’ experience as a professional accountant or similar role; experience working with international standards is an advantage
• Knowledge of ERP systems; Oracle is preferred
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
