Welder Vacancy - Sharjah

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our team in Sharjah. We offer a competitive salary of 1500 AED and are willing to consider applicants from abroad. The successful applicant will be responsible for welding metal components together using various welding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layouts
• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered tools)
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces together securely before welding them together
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as welder (minimum 2 years)
• Working knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) • Ability to read technical documents and drawings • Experience using Manual/MIG/TIG welding equipment

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent degree • Completion of an apprenticeship program is a plus • A valid license from the government is preferred but not mandatory
