Position Title: Librarian

Location: Sharjah, UAE

Salary: 1400 AED per month

Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library, organizing its resources, cataloging books and other materials, and providing assistance to library patrons. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong knowledge of library systems and procedures. Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the library
• Organize books and other materials on shelves according to established cataloging systems
• Maintain accurate records of library resources and usage statistics
• Assist patrons with locating materials or researching topics
• Supervise student volunteers working in the library
• Monitor print and online resources for relevance and accuracy
• Stay apprised of new developments in the field of librarianship

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
• Familiarity with standard cataloging systems (e.g. Dewey Decimal System)
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong customer service orientation
